Join our team! Hino Central is looking for Heavy-Duty Technician Apprentice 3 at our Calgary location! Reporting to the Parts and Service Manager, the Heavy-Duty Technician is responsible for providing repairs and maintenance to various heavy & medium duty transport trucks. This position will employ logic and deductive reasoning in diagnosing and troubleshooting in an independent environment.

Main Responsibilities:
- Work under the direction of a Journeyman Technician
- Maintain a positive teamwork environment and safe practices
- Assess work orders, diagnose faults and malfunctions by inspecting the vehicle using testing equipment, shop manuals, mechanical and electrical experience and training
- Dismantle faulty assemblies and repair or replace worn or damaged parts
- Reassemble, adjust, and test new or repaired components
- Perform scheduled maintenance services such as oil changes, lubrications, and tune-ups
- Document work performed, general vehicle conditions, and future repair requirements within work order or estimate sheet
- Test drive vehicles when required
- Maintain a clean work environment / station
- Carry out all training as assigned
What you’ll bring:
- Registered as an Apprentice, or intent to register, with the governing body
- Must have a mechanical and electronic aptitude and have the ability to handle multiple tasks
- Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Valid Driver’s License, minimum of Class 5 (Driver’s License class 1 or 3 with Q endorsement considered an asset) and Driver’s Abstract acceptable to TDF Group’s Driver and Vehicle Safety Program
- Pre-hire Criminal Security Clearance and Credit Check is required
- Must be a team player and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
