The Opportunity

We are looking for an energetic HRIS professional to join our passionate and collaborative team to enhance the performance of our HR technologies. The HRIS Analyst role is a key role in the next step of Corus’ journey. In this role, your duties will include designing, implementing and optimizing the performance of our Dayforce HCM, gathering data and making recommendations based on performance metrics. 

 

Reporting into the VP of Information Technology, you will provide support to the IT and People and Culture team with day-to-day HRIS activities. This is a permanent, full-time hybrid position from either our Toronto or Calgary office.

What You Will Love Doing - Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Translate business objectives and user needs into clearly written technical requirements 
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to develop technology solutions that help to streamline and automate (new) People & Culture processes
  • Implement process improvements and policy changes designed to improve efficiency and the user experience with the system
  • Serve as the go-to subject matter expert for the system used in the organization 
  • Serve as a system administrator for HR systems and applications
  • Ensuring security, end-user access, and data integrity across all People & Culture platforms
  • Partner with People & Culture, finance and IT to maintain and improve the HCM, including configuration, end-user access, security, and system efficiency
  • Supports critical system maintenance and operational tasks within the HCM
  • Create reports and provides analysis based on HCM data insights
  • Create user documentation and procedures and provide trainings as required on the HCM system
  • Analyze, test and resolve system issues 
  • Provide fist level support to all users of the system
  • Manage the escalation to the vendor/internal teams for Tier 2+ support as required 
  • Coordinate the onboarding and offboarding process in partnership with our broader team to ensure all team members have an exceptional employee experience at Corus

  • A self-starter who naturally connects with and builds strong relationships with others
  • A passion for building your skills and capabilities as an HRIS analyst
  • Laser-focused attention to detail, with strong organizational, auditing and analysis skills
  • Thrives in a collaborative environment, proactively sharing knowledge and best practices to contribute effectively to cross-functional teams
  • 3+ years of HCM/HR system support experience required
  • Experience working with/implementing Dayforce required 
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related fields preferred 
  • Advance proficiency in database management and security, as well as running SQL queries
  • Project management experience is an asset
  • Must understand the system development lifecycle process
  • Excellent critical thinking skills 
  • Strong customer-service mindset; focused on meeting the needs of internal clients
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to juggle multiple priorities and effectively perform in a fast-paced, start-up environment
  • Understand and maintain a high level of confidentiality and able to deal with sensitive issues with tact and discretion
