The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Communications Specialist who is passionate about building connection, engagement, and collaboration across our network. In this role, you will not only support the development and execution of our annual communications plan but also play a pivotal role in fostering a sense of community among our team members. You will create and manage content across various channels, engaging with our diverse practice community to ensure that our communications resonate and inspire collaboration.

As part of our People, Culture & Communications team, you'll also lead cross-functional communication meetings, organize internal and external events, and maintain our communications calendar. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact by connecting people, ideas, and initiatives across our growing network. What You Will Love Doing - Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating on the development and implementation of our annual communications plan supporting key internal and external audiences
  • Offering communications support for our internal stakeholders through drafting, editing, and distributing communications for internal reports, newsletters, department initiatives, M&A activities, recognition programs, and events/meetings
  • Ensuring all communications adhere to our Corus brand standards for both internal and external audiences
  • Supporting internal and external events such as our annual Town Hall, external webinars, learning & development initiatives, and wellness events
  • Sharing ownership of our company-wide intranet to make it our one-stop-shop for team members to find the information and resources they need, and both tracking and analyzing engagement metrics
  • Creating and posting content on a variety of channels (e.g., social, website, blogs, communities, intranet, video, newsletters, etc.) and tracking/analyzing metrics
  • Leading monthly cross-functional communication meetings – presenting upcoming events/campaigns, gathering information from teams to add to communications calendar and suggesting best channels and tactics to use.
  • Owning the Communications Calendar and keep it up to date with current and upcoming initiatives, campaigns, and content from cross-functional teams.

 

All About You:

  • Three or more years of communications or marketing experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Communications or related field
  • An excellent communicator who is personable, has a customer-service mindset, and comfortable presenting to large and small groups
  • Strong writer and experience reviewing and editing a variety of content
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage numerous requests, projects, and inquiries
  • A self-starter who can roll up their sleeves to meet work deadlines
  • Knowledgeable in promoting a brand, creating new and trending content, and growing a following across social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn)
  • A creative eye who can easily create and elevate content using Canva
  • Experience with HubSpot or similar email automation tool/CRM is considered an asset
