Job Summary:

 

We are looking for a passionate and motivated Transportation and Operations Specialist. You will be responsible for the safety and compliance training of company drivers, improvement and maintenance of efficiencies in the collection of material and providing a positive experience for all internal and external customers. You will ensure there is strict adherence to the MTO rules and regulations.


Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Training and retraining new and existing drivers
  • Conduct road tests for perspectives and new drivers
  • Perform on the job in truck training
  • Training sign offs
  • Facilitate online training (TDG, defensive driving etc.)
  • Perform job observations / safety audits to ensure MTO and company compliance is met
  • Assist in fleet, safety and compliance issues
  • Assist in driver meetings as needed
  • Analyze and report data / KPIs
  • SME with different types of trucks
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

 

  • High School Graduate
  • AZ LICENSE IS MANDATORY
  • Minimum of FIVE (5) years of driving experience in the transportation industry
  • Must be able to operate manual trucks including super roll-offs, roll-offs, luggers, dumps, trailers, straight trucks etc.
  • Previous experience in a leadership position is an asset
  • Working knowledge of transportation laws
  • Strong English communication skills (Written and Verbal)
  • Efficient computer skills with MS Office
  • Customer Service orientated
  • Good conflict resolution skills
