The Manager, Food & Beverage at Coast Canmore Hotel & Conference Centre contributes to the overall success of the hotel by leading and managing the property’s food & beverage operations with over 10000 Square Feet of Conference space and our full service restaurant, Table Food & Drink.

Reporting to the General Manager, this position will ensure the continued growth and development of the food and beverage team and maximize customer service and profitability for the food and beverage outlets and the catering department.

As F&B Manager you are responsible for leading a team of dedicated employees to ensure Coast Canmore exceeds expectations and that the guests have a memorable experience.  

Responsibilities:

  • Oversea day to day operation in Table Food + Drink & Food & Beverage department, including ensuring procedures and policies being followed.
  • Work closely with the Sales and Culinary teams to ensure smooth communication and event execution.
  • Maximize revenues through upselling and developing new revenue sources including overseeing Social media strategy and including marketing and concepts to drive revenue.
  • Manage expenses and labour.
  • Help improve/implement standards and consistency.
  • Organize, direct, evaluate, develop, recruit, and train all new F&B Ambassadors.
  • Improve guest loyalty, overall service scores and employee satisfaction.
  • Assist in beverage inventory counts and control measures.
  • Ensure health and safety practices and WCB regulations are taught and followed.
  • Scheduling, payroll approvals and control
  • Ensure effective communication and great relations with all departments
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Knowledge/Skills/Experience:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in a Leadership F&B role
  • Hospitality Diploma or Certificate an asset
  • Pro Serve Mandatory 
  • Wine, alcohol and food knowledge
  • Ability to problem solve and multitask
  • Thorough knowledge of budget and administration aspects
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, train and develop the F&B team
  • Organized, detail orientated individual with extraordinary written and verbal communication skills.
  • Resourceful and creative with the ability to work well under pressure and in changing situations.
  • Team player, flexible and energetic with the ability to work independently
  • Lead by example

Compensation of salary, plus gratuities and management incentive.

Salary based on experience.
