TRAVEL CLERK OVERVIEW:

Are you a detail-oriented and organized individual with a passion for travel and customer service? We are seeking a dedicated Travel Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting our Travel consultants with travel arrangements, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring a seamless travel experience. If you have strong communication skills, an eye for detail, and a love for travel, we want to hear from you!

This is a full-time permanent position, with a minimum of 37.5 hours per week.

REQUIREMENTS:
To be seriously considered for this role, please have the following in regard to:

 

  • Experience: 2+ years of customer service and administrative experience
  • Education:  Post-secondary education in Travel & Tourism will be considered an asset / TICO certification (or willing to obtain)
  • Skills: Strong computer skills and thrives working under pressure. Exceptional attention to detail skills 
  • Characteristics: Enthusiastic about data entry with a strong emphasis on efficiency and quality. Passionate about travel and committed to continuous learning.
  • Hours & Location: Must be able to work at any one of our five locations: Grimsby, St. Catharines, Welland, Niagara Falls, and Thorold. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:
As CAA Niagara’s Travel Clerk, you will be supporting the Travel Department, including, but not limited to:

 

  • Supporting the Travel Consultants by creating invoices for clients based on booking details and other tasks
  • Preparing travel documents for clients and completing online check-ins
  • Completing bookings for some suppliers, such as Journeys Tours, Niagara Airbus, Cruise excursions, Car rentals, hotel reservations, and more
  • Qualifying & Triaging travel customers while maintaining and creating travel leads
  • Assisting with and at travel consumer events
