Buckland is looking for a Distribution, Warehouse Manager

 

What you’ll be doing

This position is responsible for the direct management and handling of all distribution functions at the organization's warehouse facilities. This includes accountability for inbound and outbound freight, as well as adherence to legislative, safety, and organizational policies and procedures. The Distribution Warehouse Manager will accomplish effective logistical oversight through strong leadership and decision-making skills. This position manages the teams, their workflow, and schedules and provides expert level KPI regarding the distribution operation.

You will be responsible for

  • Provide the highest level of customer service to clients, vendors, and service providers.
  • Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing optimal operational policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all production orders are shipped to customers in a timely manner in adherence to delivery schedules.
  • Produce reports and statistics regularly (In/out status report, slow moving inventory report, staff utilization report etc.)
  • Develop and maintain constant interaction with Clients, Clients Suppliers, Carriers, Transportation Companies, and other parties involved in the logistic chain of Buckland and its customers.
  • Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees, following up on work results.
  • Maintain strict control over inventory levels in order to meet internal and external demand of product, by conducting physical counts and reconciling with inventory management systems.
  • Plan warehouse layout and space requirements in order to prevent loss or damage, and to achieve floor space optimization.
  • Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
  • Implements and monitors performance metrics (KPIs) for shipping and receiving.
  • Manage projects as needed (renovations, expansions, relocation, etc.) using Project Management best practices and communicating with stakeholders. 
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve departmental processes to increase efficiencies and improve performance to customers. Other duties as assigned.

 

What we need from you

  • Bachelor’s Degree or diploma in International Trade, Logistics, Business, or related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years proven Warehouse leadership, international trade, logistics and shipping experience.
  • Leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • High level of organization, time management and attention to detail.
  • Bilingual (fluent in both Spanish/English) (US SB only)
  • Advanced MS Office knowledge.
  • OSHA warehouse safety regulations knowledge.
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Software.
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with Mexican Customs process, Revision, Just in time (JIT) an asset.
  • Experience with data analytics and Power BI preferred.
  • Operation Management experience, such as Developing departmental KPI’s, Reporting, Budgets, Safety Management, Inventory Control, Analysing Information.
  • Must be legally eligible to work for the Company at all times.
  • Valid Passport and ability and desire to occasionally travel to other company’s or client offices/site.
