GENERAL SUMMARY

As a Program Manager at AV Gauge Automation, you will be responsible for supporting our customers and your teammates for the duration of a project’s life cycle. The Program Manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with customers. Program Managers is expected to handle the kick off with the engineering, controls, and manufacturing groups. A Program Manager’s main priorities are the quality, timing, and cost of a project. To meet and exceed the goals set forth; project timelines, risk identification and mitigation, setting and maintaining budgets, problem solving, customer updates and identifying continuous improvement opportunities will also be part of the focus. Reporting to the Sr. Program Manager, the incumbent will ensure adequate resources are available in engineering, controls, and manufacturing to meet AV Gauge Automation’s goals in customer satisfaction.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support to Sr. Program Manager:
    • Develop relationships and seek opportunities for AV Gauge Automation to provide solutions for customers.
    • Assist by reviewing the RFQ and customer specific requirements, providing insight to the customers needs to tailor proposals to best serve the client.
  • Acting as Customer Agent:
    • Develop and maintain timelines and budgets
    • Review concepts before final design review against the customer requirements and the quoted outline
    • Ensure customer parts for development and run-off are available and properly handled.
    • Coordinate equipment buy-off and oversee details of shipping equipment to customer site.
    • On-site work at customer facility during install, integration and start up to ensure equipment is performing as expected.
  • Work with other department managers monitoring expenses in labour and materials
  • Identify areas of a project that require increased resources by using risk assessments to find solutions in a timely fashion.
  • Ensure that equipment meets all customer and governmental safety requirements.
  • Prepare and submit of ECN quotations as they arise.

REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Analytic and communication skills, able to present a professional demeanor.
  • Able to work independently and be a leader for the team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to apply best judgment and practical knowledge when addressing challenges.
  • Ability to use MS Word and Excel applications.
  • Must be able to travel freely through North America, possessing a valid drivers license.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Degree or certificate in a technical discipline is an asset
  • 5+ years of experience managing $1-5M projects.
  • Experience with MS Project
  • PMP certificate is an asset.

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Prolonged periods of standing while working.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting while working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs at times.
