Greenfield is looking for an Export Manager to join our growing team. 


We are actively seeking an experienced Export Manager to join our dynamic team at Greenfield Global. In this pivotal role, you will oversee global export and logistics operations, with a strong focus on the safe handling and transportation of both bulk and packaged flammable and hazardous materials. You will be responsible for ensuring full compliance with domestic U.S. and international regulations governing hazardous materials, while playing a critical role in advancing our commitment to sustainable supply chain practices. As part of Greenfield’s Supply Chain Team, you will ensure the safe, efficient, and timely movement of goods across global markets, directly contributing to the company’s growth and environmental goals.

Your Experience Should Include: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Operations Management, Global Trade Management or equivalent degree required
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in international logistics and export management.
  • Proven experience handling hazardous products and dangerous goods.
  • Strong knowledge of international trade regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, ERP systems (e.g., Dynamics 365), and Power BI (or similar Business Intelligence tools).
  • Experience with data analysis and creating data visualizations.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Certifications in dangerous goods handling (IATA, IMDG, and DOT) preferred.
  • Experience with DEA filings and regulations is highly desirable.
  • Understanding of global supply chain dynamics and international market trends.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

 

Job Responsibilities: 

 

Customer Service and Order Processing

  • Manage the export sales order process to ensure customer satisfaction and a seamless experience.
  • Handle both packaged and bulk orders, including sample shipments, using ERP and Global Wizard systems.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate digital folders with all relevant documentation.
  • Ensure smooth order flow throughout the supply chain by proactively communicating with internal and external stakeholders and addressing potential bottlenecks.

 

Logistics Management

  • Coordinate land, air, and ocean shipments by working closely with freight forwarders, trucking companies, and steamship lines.
  • Coordinate the scheduling of export pickups and manage a shared open order report to ensure all stakeholders are informed and aligned
  • Solicit, evaluate, and compare freight quotes to identify the most cost-effective shipping solutions.
  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with vendors and supply chain partners to ensure seamless logistics operations.

 

Documentation and Compliance

  • Prepare all necessary documentation for hazardous materials exports, including IMO Declarations, Dock Receipts, and Shipping Instructions.
  • Create commercial documentation for customer import processes, including ISF filings.
  • Assist with regulatory filings, such as DEA requirements, to ensure legal compliance.
  • Ensure full compliance with domestic and international trade regulations, including DOT, IATA, IMDG, and company policies.

 

Business Intelligence and Data Analysis

  • Use Power BI and other business intelligence tools to create reports and dashboards for export operations.
  • Analyze export data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
  • Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track export performance and operational efficiency.
  • Present data-driven insights to leadership to support strategic decision-making.

 

Sales and Operations Planning Collaboration

  • Collaborate closely with the commercial sales team to align export operations with broader sales and business objectives.
  • Participate in S&OP meetings to provide insights on export capacity and constraints.
  • Work with sales teams to forecast international demand and optimize inventory management.
  • Provide regular updates on order status, shipment timelines, and any issues impacting delivery.
  • Support export-related market expansion strategies and contribute to sales initiatives.

 

Continuous Improvement and Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Champion supply chain improvements, developing Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) where needed.
  • Lead Management of Change (MOC) initiatives to enhance agility and resilience within the supply chain.
  • Manage internal customer complaints and corrective actions (CAPA) to resolve issues and improve processes.
  • Serve as a cross-functional supply chain team member, capable of filling in for colleagues when necessary.
