Job Title: Technician - Corn Analyst
Department: Renewable Energy - Receiving/Shipping
Reports to: Regulatory Compliance Manager 
Location: Varennes integrated biorefinery – Distillery

Greenfield is looking for a Technician - Corn Analyst to join its growing team. The main responsibilities of this position are to welcome and provide excellent customer service to truckers on site. He/she is also responsible for ensuring that grain corn received conforms to expected specifications.

Job responsibilities as a Technician - Corn Analyst:

•    Welcome and check-in truckers upon arrival;
•    Sample and test incoming grain corn according to work instructions and official grain grading guide (moisture, specific weight, MFCC, etc.);
•    Determine the grade of grain corn before receiving it, to ensure that the company obtains the quality it has paid for;
•    Guide truckers on site;
•    Ensure that truckers entering the site have received/are up to date with their safety training;
•    Perform required analyses (e.g. toxins) using kits and compile data;
•    Communicate results to contacts if product does not meet expectations;
•    Follow-up on deviations and non-conformities;
•    Contribute to site surveillance and safety;
•    Take charge of unforeseen situations and be able to use good judgment to guide decision-making;
•    Maintain statistical database;
•    Participate as required in root cause analysis program and/or continuous improvement group;
•    Maintain and calibrate equipment;
•    Send samples for external analysis;
•    Control official documents;
•    Track products required for analyses;
•    Participate in ISO system maintenance.
