Job Title:         Production Material Handler (Contract)

Department:   Production
Reporting to:  Production Team Leaders 
Location:        Brampton, Ontario

Greenfield is looking for a Production Material Handler to join our growing team. 

Based at the Brampton Packaging Facility, the Production Material Handler role supports Production activities at the site by conveying packaging materials, raw materials, and finished products throughout the plant in a safe and efficient manner and assisting in production line work.

Who You Are:

  • Self-starter individual with strong attention to detail

  • Ability to work a rotating schedule (every two weeks, days\afternoons), Monday through Friday.

Your Experience Should Include:

  • Community college technical certificate or diploma
  • Minimum 1 year in a plant environment
  • Valid Ontario Driver’s License
  • Experience with the transportation of dangerous goods
  • Some shipping/receiving experience would be an asset
  • Comfortable in a dynamic, fast-paced, customer focused environment
  • Ability to work overtime and rotate between different shift times
  • Highest regard for safety
  • Excellent communication skills.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Forklift operation
  • Preparation of packaging materials (drums, pails, etc.) for filling
  • Loading / unloading packaging materials and production line work
  • Cleans and sanitizes process equipment as required
  • Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of process areas
  • Adheres to and fully complies with the Company’s Health and Safety, Environmental and Quality Procedures
  • Participates when consulted about H&S matters and reports hazards, if identified. Adheres to and fully complies with the Ontario Health & Safety Act.
  • Other duties as assigned.
