Greenfield is looking for a People & Culture Manager to join our growing team. 

 

Position Overview:

Reporting to the Director, People & Culture, this role works closely with the plant leadership team, leading the People & Culture function for the Chatham manufacturing plant in the areas of engagement and retention, employee development and succession, performance management and employee relations.

Your Experience Should Include:

  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in Human Resources Management. CHRL designation would be an asset.
  • Five to seven years experience in a Human Resources function.
  • Experience with an HRIS system.
  • Must hold a high regard for confidentiality.
  • Resourceful and practical, with demonstrated problem solving and decision making capabilities
  • Strong organizational skills paired with an ability to manage multiple priorities with competing demands

  

Job Responsibilities:

  • Comply with all Company health and safety, environmental, and quality policies and regulatory requirements
  • Develop and/or implement strategies that support employee engagement and provide an environment for growth and development.
  • Support the recruitment and selection process for local job postings.
  • Manage short- and long-term disability claims across the site.
  • Oversee WSIB claims and work with employees and department managers to ensure an early and safe return to work.
  • Oversee and maintain compensation structures and wage progressions.
  • Maintain positive employee relations through routine communications and formal stay interviews.
  • Provide support to plant leadership to ensure consistent application of policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Oversee onboarding activities for new employees and monitor progress to ensure a seamless transition into the Greenfield team.
  • Support training and development activities and lead site succession planning.
  • Oversee performance management program.
  • Report on plant related people and culture KPI’s.
  • Knowledgeable in employment related legislation
  • Participates in continuous improvement initiatives across the facility.
  • Other duties and responsibilities aligned to business goals and objectives.
