Greenfield is looking for a Senior Financial Reporting Analyst to join our growing team. 

 

Position Overview:

Reporting to the Financial Reporting and Accounting Manager, the Senior Financial Reporting Analyst will lead and improve our monthly financial reporting process, prepare a full set of consolidated financial statements and entity reporting packages to senior management, and provide ad-hoc analysis to support key decision-making. The role requires someone who is highly motivated, deadline driven, and committed for continuous process improvement.

Who You Are: 

 

  • Must be proficient in presenting data and documenting variance analysis.
  • Strong results-oriented management skills; able to prioritize and organize work effectively in a fast-paced environment to deliver on tight timelines with strong attention to detail and high accuracy
  • Ability to work efficiently as part of a team as well as independently

 

Your Experience Should Include:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related program
  • CPA designation is required, preferably “big 4” trained or similar
  • Manufacturing industry experience
  • Have a minimum of five years of full cycle accounting experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proven ability to work with other department heads
  • Excellent leadership, communication, presentation and problem-solving skills 
  • Continuous process improvement mindset
  • Customer service orientation 
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience in a high-volume, multi-location organization
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new software
  • Experience working with accounting software (such as Microsoft Navision, D365 or Fluence) would be considered an asset.

 

Job Responsibilities: 

 

  • Plan for month end cycle; follow up with accounting team for execution.
  • Prepare monthly consolidated financial reporting by entity and business unit with high-level commentary on results, comparing actuals to budget, forecast and prior year, and investigate any drivers of significant variances.
  • Prepare annual consolidated financial statements, including note disclosures and quarterly MD&A
  • Prepare Lender presentations on a quarterly basis.
  • Oversee the validity and accuracy of the Daily Flash and Weekly Vital Signs reports.
  • Plan for interim and annual external audit and liaise with the auditors.
  • Foster a positive work environment; help train and develop staff.
  • Play an active role in finance related projects (systems and process improvements, Finance initiatives and ad-hoc projects)
  • Other related duties as required or assigned.
