Greenfield is looking for a Process & Innovation Engineer to join our growing team. 

 

Position Overview:

The Process & Innovation Engineer plays a role in supporting the Engineering & Technical advisor and the Distillery & Manufacturing Operations sites for the long-term optimization of existing and future technology specifically but not limited to conduct high decarbonization analysis, collecting data, analyze findings, identify solutions and develop a clear and actionable roadmap.  This position will report to the E&T advisor.

Your Experience Should Include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering with P.Eng. Designation or equivalent
  • Minimum of 10 years of related experience.
  • Experience with Aspen Process Simulation software or equivalent
  • Direct experience in Emissions Reduction is an asset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Comply with all Company health and safety, environmental, and quality policies and regulatory requirements
  • Develop a thorough knowledge of each sites process, the interrelationship between process areas, from the perspectives of chemical reactions, raw material consumption, mass and energy balance while maintaining a thorough knowledge of industry standards
  • Prepare Front end loaded project management as required – Business Case preparation, initial technical documents, ORG charting, EBITDA projections, Risk evaluation, Post Audit
  • Develop Design Basis Memorandum. 
  • Prepare and Issue Request for Proposal for 3rd party submissions. 
  • Evaluate New technologies/processes/equipment/decarbonization strategies and their impact on site’s performance, including impact on CI Score and LCA for each project
  • Develop and maintain a network with major industry suppliers 
  • Master the different CI model
  • Knowledge of Government policies, programs, certifications and protocols existing on the market.
  • Refine and maintain Mass&Energy balance for each product and site
  • Provide technical assistance to the plant team for troubleshooting, problem solving, customer complaint and continuous improvement activities
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including Root Cause Analysis, HAZOP, and design review
  • Other duties and responsibilities aligned to business objectives and in support of our core principles.
