ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE TECHNICIAN

REPORTS TO: DIRECTOR OF FINANCE

 

 

IN A NUTSHELL:

Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Accounts Receivable Technician manages the financial transactions associated with the company's receivables. This includes tasks such as processing invoices, recording payments, reconciling accounts, and communicating with customers regarding their outstanding balances.

The responsibilities also involve generating reports, analyzing aging accounts, and ensuring timely payments. Accuracy, attention to detail, and strong communication skills are essential for success in this role.

The Accounts Receivable Technician will also be called to communicate with other group companies located all around the world.

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Focus on day-to-day operations: requests, incidents, changes;
  • Ensure prompt and accurate recording of customer billing in accordance with contractual agreements;
  • Process transactional and recurring journal entries;
  • Identify and collaborate towards process improvement initiatives;
  • Occasionally carry out the payroll service for approximately 600 employees (Ceridian);
  • Monitor and reconcile intercompany account balances to ensure accuracy and consistency across financial statements;
  • Participate in the month-end process and generate required reports;
  • Assist the Accounting Team fulfill external audit requirements;
  • Assist in the coordination and implementation of special projects (if applicable).

 

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • DEC in Accounting/Finance;
  • +3 years of relevant experience in a similar role;
  • Experience with an ERP accounting system;
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel;
  • Autonomy while also thriving in collaborative environments;
  • Strong leadership capabilities;
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality work;
  • Dynamic interpersonal skills, organized and precise;
  • Sense of confidentiality with utmost diligence, especially when handling sensitive information within the payroll department;
  • Time and priority management skills;
  • Integrity in all interactions, fostering trust and reliability within the workplace.

 

EVEN BETTER IF YOU HAVE:

  • Experience with Ceridian/Dayforce an asset.
