  • Team Spirit: Join a talented group of professionals who are dedicated to serving the residents of Cochrane.

Your Role as a Human Resources Business Partner:

  • Provide expert advice on employee relations, performance management, conflict resolution, and growth strategies.
  • Interpret and guide on HR policies, employment standards, human rights, and related legislation.
  • Conduct workplace investigations and support restoration efforts to maintain a positive work environment.
  • Partner with departments on disability leaves and return-to-work processes.
  • Lead recruitment and selection efforts to ensure the right cultural fit.
  • Support labour relations by fostering strong union relationships and managing grievances.

What Makes You the Ideal Fit?

  • Passion for public service and a drive to make a difference in your community.
  • A post-secondary degree in HR or a related field.
  • CPHR designation.
  • Experience in HR, with the confidence to take initiative, analyze needs, and bring creative solutions to the table.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships and navigate various perspectives.
  • An open mind, critical thinking skills, and the humility to seek input when needed.
  • A commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion in everything you do.

What’s in it for You? We’re committed to investing in our people and building a workplace where everyone can grow. This is your chance to make an impact and be part of a community that values innovation, critical thinking, and continuous improvement.

Are You Ready to Make a Difference? To apply, submit both your resume and a cover letter (we want to know why you want to work with us) that details how your experience aligns with the qualifications and skills we’re seeking. You’ll also be asked to complete an online suitability survey. Applications are open until 9:00 PM MST on October 31, 2024, at www.cochrane.ca/jobs.
