Canadore College is hiring! We are looking to fill a teaching need for the School of Indigenous Studies. This is an in-person, on-campus opportunity at the College Drive Campus in North Bay, ON.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Knowledge of Indigenous peoples colonization experiences within Canadian history.
• Knowledge of how Indigenous Knowledge can incorporate the principles of cultural safety across a variety of disciplines
• Provide a learning environment which makes effective use of available resources including educational technologies and the College approved Learning Management System (iLearn)
• Demonstrated knowledge of student success strategies in a post-secondary setting
• Highly effective communication, presentation and organizational skills
• Previous experience teaching in a post-secondary setting is an asset

DUTIES:

• Plan, deliver, and evaluate effective learning related to CLT100
• Work closely with students and colleagues to provide a dynamic learning environment
• Perform all responsibilities associated with the learning environment including preparation, delivery and evaluation of theory and practical learning activities, curriculum development and community liaison
