About the Role:

The Senior Manager, Marketing Operations (Australia and New Zealand) is responsible for driving operational excellence and efficiency within the marketing department.  Reporting to the Head of Brand Marketing, you are responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and optimisation of marketing campaigns and initiatives.   You will collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless execution of marketing programs that drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and sales growth.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Lead the go-to-market implementation of integrated marketing campaigns across all channels.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a liaison between the marketing department and other key functional areas such as Legal, Operations, and Territory Teams to ensure alignment and collaboration on marketing initiatives.
  • Continuously evaluate and optimise marketing operations processes and workflows to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall effectiveness. Implement best practices and tools to streamline project management and execution
  • Support the delivery of Partnership & Sponsorship initiatives to ensure Subway brand and business objectives are met and all deliverables are executed to a high standard
  • Manage relationships with marketing vendors, suppliers, and contractors. Support contract execution, monitor performance, and ensure compliance with contractual agreements.
  • Ensure that all marketing activities and materials comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. Work closely with legal and compliance teams to address any legal or regulatory issues.
  • Establish quality assurance processes and standards to ensure that all marketing materials and assets meet brand guidelines, regulatory requirements, and quality standards
  • Identify potential risks and issues that may impact the successful execution of marketing initiatives and develop mitigation strategies to address them proactively

 

Qualifications, experience and skills (below):

  • Degree in Business, Business Administration, Marketing or related field
  • 5-7yrs experience in marketing operations, project management or related, preferably within the retail or food service industry.,
  • Lead the development and implementation of marketing operations processes, systems, and workflows to streamline campaign planning, execution, and reporting
  • Work closely with the Head of Brand Marketing to develop marketing strategies and initiatives that align with business objectives and brand positioning
  • Manage the marketing calendar and campaign timelines, ensuring timely execution and delivery of marketing materials and assets
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including product development, operations and legal, to gather input, align priorities, and secure resources for marketing initiatives
  • Liaise with external vendors, agencies, and partners to manage relationships, and ensure deliverables meet Subway brand standards and timelines
  • Oversee budget tracking, forecasting, and reconciliation for marketing initiatives, ensuring adherence to allocated budgets and maximising ROI
  • Implement marketing performance measurement frameworks and KPIs to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and initiatives.
  • Analyse campaign data and performance metrics to identify trends, insights, and areas for optimisation, and provide recommendations for future initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, standard operating procedures, and best practices for marketing operations processes and workflows
